Christine Murphy Estes, MM, MA, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist, voice therapist, and singing voice specialist with Shape Your Voice, and Senior Speech-Language Pathologist with the Sean Parker Institute for the Voice at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She specializes in the treatment of phonotraumatic injury, muscle tension dysphonia, neurological voice disorders, upper airway disorders, perioperative voice rehabilitation, and care of the professional voice. She developed an interest in the anatomy and physiology of the voice during her studies as a vocal/opera performance major at The Crane School of Music and McGill University, and transitioned to a career in vocal rehabilitation while earning her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hofstra University, where she later returned in the role of Adjunct Instructor of Voice Disorders. A performer, clinician, educator, research, and presenter, Christine's research with Weill Cornell has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at several international conferences and educational programs. She enjoys being an active part of both the medical and performing arts communities, fostering a multidisciplinary team approach to vocal rehabilitation. Learn more about Christine here.

Ingela Onstad, MM, LMHC, BCC, holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specializes in performance anxiety for musicians and other performing artists. She has completed thousands of hours of clinical experience with a variety of ages and issues and has presented on the topic of performance anxiety at institutions such as the University of New Mexico, Colby College, Fort Lewis College, New Mexico School for the Arts, Tulane University, Portland State University, University of Texas at El Paso, and Rio Grande NATS. Her coaching business, Courageous Artistry, aims to support performing artists in their quest to perform at the top of their abilities. 

 

In addition, Ms. Onstad is a soprano who has enjoyed a varied international career in opera, concert work, and contemporary music. Operatic highlights include performances at Dresden’s Staatsoperette, Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, Landestheater Schleswig-Holstein, and the Santa Fe Opera, and performances with the New Mexico Philharmonic, Bad Reichenhaller Philharmonie, Chicago Arts Orchestra, and the Santa Fe Symphony.
